  1. Plan and coordinate transportation operations for the company, including inbound and outbound shipments, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of merchandise.
  2. Manage relationships with external carriers and negotiate rates to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  3. Monitor transportation expenses and identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely communication regarding transportation schedules and shipment updates.
  5. Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including tracking and reporting on shipment status, delays, and any issues that may arise.
  6. Develop and implement transportation strategies to support the company's growth and expansion plans.
  7. Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and laws, including safety and environmental standards.
  8. Identify and resolve transportation-related issues and escalate to management when necessary.
  9. Continuously evaluate and improve transportation processes to increase efficiency and reduce lead times.
  10. Stay abreast of industry trends and developments to proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  11. Train and mentor other team members on transportation processes and procedures.
  12. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support the overall goals of the company.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional relationship with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  14. Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing any transportation-related inquiries or concerns.
  15. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
