- Monitor and maintain the safety and security of the store premises at all times.
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Conduct regular patrols to deter and detect potential theft and fraudulent activities.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and report any suspicious behavior or incidents to management.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to any emergency situations or alarms.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding loss prevention and safety protocols.
- Conduct bag checks and assist in customer exits when necessary.
- Collaborate with store management and other team members to ensure a safe shopping environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or questions from customers.
- Maintain accurate and detailed reports of any incidents or suspicious activities.
- Stay up-to-date on current safety and security procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
- Assist in training and coaching other team members on loss prevention techniques and procedures.
- Follow proper protocol for handling and documenting any recovered merchandise.
- Work with law enforcement agencies and provide any necessary assistance during investigations.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by store management.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Required For This Position.
Previous Security Or Loss Prevention Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In Security Or Loss Prevention, Preferably In A Retail Environment.
Strong Observation And Surveillance Skills: Store Protection Specialists Must Be Able To Closely Monitor Store Activity And Identify Potential Theft Or Fraudulent Behavior.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Involves Working Closely With Store Management And Interacting With Customers, So Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential.
Ability To Handle Difficult Situations Calmly And Professionally: Store Protection Specialists May Need To Confront And Address Difficult Situations, Such As Suspected Theft Or Unruly Customers, So The Ability To Remain Calm And Handle These Situations Professionally Is Important.
