  1. Oversee the operations of multiple store locations, ensuring they are running efficiently and effectively.
  2. Lead and motivate a team of associates to provide exceptional customer service and drive sales.
  3. Set and communicate clear expectations for store performance and hold team accountable for meeting goals.
  4. Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve overall store performance.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper merchandising and presentation standards are maintained.
  6. Responsible for hiring, training, and developing new associates to ensure a strong and capable team.
  7. Conduct regular store visits and provide feedback and coaching to store managers and associates.
  8. Collaborate with other Area Supervisors and upper management to share best practices and drive overall company success.
  9. Address and resolve any customer or operational issues in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Stay current on industry trends and competition to make informed business decisions.
  11. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  12. Maintain a positive and professional work environment for all associates.

Job Qualifications
  • Prior Retail Management Experience: Candidates For An Area Supervisor Position At Ross Stores Should Have Previous Experience In A Retail Management Role, Preferably At The Store Or District Level. This Experience Will Demonstrate An Understanding Of Retail Operations, Sales Strategies, And Team Management.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: The Area Supervisor Will Be Responsible For Overseeing Multiple Stores And Managing A Team Of Employees. Therefore, Candidates Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate And Mentor Employees, Make Decisions, And Delegate Tasks Effectively.

  • Excellent Communication Abilities: As An Area Supervisor, Effective Communication Is Essential In Order To Effectively Convey Expectations And Goals To Store Managers And Employees. Candidates Should Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Professionally, Both Verbally And In Writing.

  • Knowledge Of Inventory Management: The Area Supervisor Will Be Responsible For Ensuring That All Stores Within Their Area Have An Appropriate Level Of Inventory And Merchandise Mix. Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Inventory Management Principles And Be Able To Analyze Sales Data To Make Strategic Decisions.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: Working As An Area Supervisor At Ross Stores Requires The Ability To Adapt To Changing Situations And Priorities. Candidates Should Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks And Responsibilities Simultaneously, As Well As Be Open To Traveling To Different Store Locations As Needed.
