- Develop and implement loss prevention strategies and procedures across all Ross Stores locations nationwide.
- Analyze and assess potential risks and vulnerabilities to company assets and profits.
- Monitor and investigate internal and external theft, fraud, and other loss incidents.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Train and educate store management and associates on loss prevention best practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and losses.
- Conduct interviews and interrogations when necessary to gather information and evidence.
- Utilize data and analytics to identify patterns and trends in loss incidents and make recommendations for improvement.
- Continuously assess and improve loss prevention technology and systems to enhance effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments in loss prevention and make recommendations for implementation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement and other external partners to support loss prevention efforts.
- Manage and oversee a team of loss prevention associates and provide guidance, support, and performance management.
- Prepare and present reports and updates on loss prevention efforts to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to loss prevention.
- Act as a liaison between stores and corporate headquarters to communicate and align on loss prevention strategies and initiatives.
Extensive Experience In Loss Prevention: The Ideal Candidate For An Alpm Position At Ross Stores Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In The Loss Prevention Field, With A Strong Understanding Of Industry Best Practices And Techniques.
Leadership Skills: As An Alpm, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Loss Prevention Specialists Across Multiple Locations. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate And Guide A Team, Are Crucial For This Role.
Knowledge Of Retail Operations: The Alpm Will Be Responsible For Identifying And Mitigating Potential Risks And Losses Within The Retail Environment. Therefore, A Deep Understanding Of Retail Operations, Including Inventory Management, Store Layout, And Customer Behavior, Is Essential For Success In This Role.
Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Alpm Must Be Able To Analyze Data And Identify Patterns To Proactively Prevent Losses. Strong Problem-Solving Skills Are Also Required To Address Any Issues That May Arise In The Field.
