
Area Loss Prevention Manager (ALPM)

- Oversee and manage all aspects of loss prevention for multiple store locations within the designated area.
- Develop and implement effective loss prevention strategies and procedures to minimize risk and prevent theft, fraud, and other security threats.
- Conduct regular audits and investigations to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities and take appropriate actions to address them.
- Train and educate store associates on loss prevention policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Monitor and analyze store performance and identify areas for improvement in loss prevention measures.
- Collaborate with store management teams to develop and implement safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in loss prevention and implement new strategies as needed.
- Manage and maintain all security equipment and systems, ensuring they are functioning properly and addressing any issues promptly.
- Conduct interviews and background checks for potential new hires in the loss prevention department.
- Communicate and collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
- Create and maintain accurate records and reports related to loss prevention activities and incidents.
- Provide guidance and support to store management teams during emergency situations or security incidents.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with store associates, managers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to loss prevention.
- Continuously evaluate and improve loss prevention processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Strong Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Strategies And Techniques: The Alpm Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Loss Prevention Practices, Including Inventory Management, Shrinkage Reduction, And Employee Theft Prevention.
Experience In Retail Loss Prevention: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Background In Retail Loss Prevention, Preferably In A Supervisory Or Managerial Role. This Experience Will Enable Them To Effectively Lead And Train Store Teams In Loss Prevention Procedures.
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Alpm Must Be Able To Analyze Data And Identify Trends To Develop Effective Loss Prevention Strategies. They Should Also Have Strong Problem-Solving Abilities To Address And Resolve Any Issues That May Arise.
Leadership And Communication Abilities: As A Manager, The Alpm Will Be Responsible For Leading And Directing A Team Of Loss Prevention Associates. They Should Have Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Both Store Teams And Upper Management.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws Related To Loss Prevention: The Alpm Should Be Familiar With Laws And Regulations Related To Loss Prevention, Such As Employee Rights, Privacy Laws, And Evidence Handling Procedures. This Knowledge Will Ensure Compliance And Protect The Company From Legal Issues.
