  1. Conduct research and analysis to identify and understand user needs and requirements for submarine systems.
  2. Apply human factors principles and methodologies to design and evaluate submarine systems, ensuring user safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement human-centered design solutions for submarine systems.
  4. Conduct usability testing and gather feedback from end-users to inform design improvements.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in human factors engineering to continuously improve submarine systems.
  6. Provide technical expertise and support to project teams to ensure compliance with human factors standards and regulations.
  7. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including management and clients.
  8. Develop and maintain documentation, including user manuals and design specifications, to support the integration of human factors into submarine systems.
  9. Support the development of training programs to educate employees on human factors engineering and its importance in submarine systems.
  10. Participate in design reviews and provide input on potential human factors issues and solutions.
  11. Contribute to the development and improvement of human factors engineering processes and procedures within the organization.
  12. Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to incorporate human factors engineering into the design and development of submarine systems.
  13. Ensure all submarine systems meet regulatory and safety requirements related to human factors.
  14. Proactively identify and address potential human factors risks and issues in submarine systems.
  15. Mentor and train junior human factors engineers within the team.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Human Factors Engineering Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 3 Years Of Experience Working In A Submarine Or Naval Engineering Environment.

  • Knowledge Of And Experience With Submarine Design And Operations, Including Systems And Equipment.

  • Proficiency In Human Factors Analysis And Design Techniques, Such As Task Analysis, Usability Testing, And Human Performance Modeling.

  • Familiarity With Relevant Industry Standards And Regulations, Such As Mil-Std-1472 And Aec-Q100.
