- Conduct test flights of avionics systems in various aircraft and evaluate their performance in real-world flight scenarios.
- Collaborate with the Avionics Engineering team to develop test plans and procedures.
- Analyze test data and provide detailed reports on system performance and any issues encountered during testing.
- Identify and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during test flights.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures during test flights.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all test flights, including flight logs and test reports.
- Communicate effectively with the engineering team to provide feedback and recommendations for improvements to avionics systems.
- Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and trends in avionics technology.
- Work closely with flight test engineers and technicians to ensure proper installation and configuration of avionics systems.
- Assist in the development and certification of new avionics systems.
- Represent Rockwell Collins in a professional manner while interacting with customers and industry partners.
- Participate in training and development programs to continuously improve knowledge and skills.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Aerospace Engineering Or Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Avionics Engineering Or Related Field
Faa Commercial Pilot License With Instrument Rating
Previous Experience As A Test Pilot For Aircraft Or Avionics Systems
Strong Knowledge Of Avionics Systems, Including Communication, Navigation, And Surveillance Systems, As Well As Autopilot And Flight Management Systems.
