
Senior System Safety Engineer

- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety hazards and risks associated with products and systems.
- Lead and supervise a team of safety engineers in the design, development, and testing of safe and reliable systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, project managers, and customers to ensure safety requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in safety technology to continuously improve safety processes and protocols.
- Act as a subject matter expert on system safety, providing guidance and support to other team members.
- Conduct safety audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Communicate safety-related information and updates to stakeholders, including management and customers.
- Develop and maintain safety documentation, including hazard reports, safety cases, and safety analyses.
- Proactively identify potential safety issues and work with the appropriate teams to address and resolve them in a timely manner.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 8 Years Experience In System Safety Engineering Or Related Role In The Aerospace Industry.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Industry Safety Standards And Regulations, Such As Mil-Std-882 And Rtca Do-178B/C.
Experience In Developing And Implementing System Safety Plans, Hazard Analysis, And Risk Assessment For Complex Avionics Systems.
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Present Safety Analyses To Customers And Regulatory Agencies.
