- Lead the development and implementation of new product introduction (NPI) strategies to ensure successful and timely launch of new products in the aerospace industry.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the NPI value stream to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall product quality.
- Manage and mentor a team of NPI project managers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in implementing NPI strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure seamless integration and execution of NPI plans.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource plans for NPI projects.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for NPI projects, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in NPI to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.
- Serve as a liaison between the NPI team and senior leadership, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies throughout the NPI process.
- Act as a strong advocate for customer needs, ensuring that all NPI projects meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute successful product launch plans.
- Act as a role model for the company's core values, promoting a culture of teamwork, integrity, and excellence.
Extensive Experience In New Product Introduction (Npi) Processes - A Senior Npi Value Stream Manager Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Entire Npi Process, From Concept To Production Launch. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Complex Npi Projects.
Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills - As A Senior Manager, This Role Requires Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage A Team And Drive Results. The Ability To Create And Execute Project Plans, Manage Timelines And Budgets, And Make Critical Decisions Is Essential.
Knowledge Of Lean And Six Sigma Methodologies - In Order To Identify And Eliminate Waste, Reduce Cycle Times, And Improve Overall Efficiency, A Senior Npi Value Stream Manager Should Have A Strong Understanding And Experience With Lean And Six Sigma Methodologies.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills - This Role Requires The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Engineering, Supply Chain, And Operations. The Senior Npi Value Stream Manager Should Also Be Able To Collaborate With Stakeholders At All Levels Of The Organization To Drive Project Success.
Technical Background And Understanding Of Engineering Principles - While This Role Is Primarily Focused On Project Management And Leadership, A Strong Technical Background And Understanding Of Engineering Principles Is Necessary To Effectively Manage And Troubleshoot Technical Issues That May Arise During The Npi Process.
