Job Description

At Rockwell Collins, we are seeking a talented, experienced, and highly motivated Product Engineer - Materials & Process to join our team. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker, creative problem solver, and team player with a strong background in materials and processes. Our ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or another related engineering discipline, as well as at least 5 years of experience in a product engineering role, with a focus on materials and process engineering. The candidate should have a deep understanding of material properties and their effect on product performance, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The successful candidate will have a passion for problem solving, a customer-oriented mindset, and the flexibility to work with a diverse team and in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be able to think outside the box to identify and develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze material properties and their effect on product performance.
  2. Identify and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  3. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and performance.
  4. Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure product safety and reliability.
  5. Utilize creative problem-solving skills to find effective solutions.
  6. Monitor product quality and performance throughout the production process.
  7. Maintain a customer-oriented mindset and develop customer-focused solutions.
  8. Utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with a diverse team.
  9. Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in materials and processes.
  10. Work in a fast-paced environment and remain flexible to changing priorities.
