Job Description

As an NPI Engineer II in our Quality Engineering team at Rockwell Collins, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful launch of new products and processes. We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented engineer with a passion for quality and a drive for continuous improvement. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, develop and implement testing procedures, and drive overall product quality.   1. Lead and coordinate the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for new products and processes within the Quality Engineering team.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues during the NPI process.
  3. Develop and implement testing procedures to ensure product quality and reliability.
  4. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  5. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize quality risks during the NPI process.
  6. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to product quality.
  7. Monitor and analyze product performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  8. Communicate quality metrics and progress updates to project teams and management.
  9. Provide technical expertise and support to resolve complex quality issues.
  10. Participate in design reviews and provide input to ensure product quality and manufacturability.
  11. Collaborate with suppliers to improve their quality processes and ensure timely delivery of high-quality components.
  12. Develop and maintain quality documentation and procedures.
  13. Train and mentor junior engineers on quality engineering principles and practices.
  14. Stay current with industry advancements and incorporate best practices into the NPI process.
  15. Represent the Quality Engineering team in cross-functional meetings and project reviews.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or A Related Field.

  • Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And In A Team Environment.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Quality Engineering, Preferably In The Aerospace Industry.

  • Knowledge Of Npi (New Product Introduction) Processes And Procedures.

  • Experience With Quality Tools And Techniques, Such As Apqp, Ppap, And Fmea.
