Knowledge Of Security Regulations And Procedures: Fsos Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Government Security Regulations, Such As The National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (Nispom) And The Defense Counterintelligence And Security Agency (Dcsa) Policies, To Ensure Compliance.
Previous Experience In Industrial Security: Fsos Should Have A Minimum Of Three Years Of Experience In Industrial Security, Preferably In The Defense Industry. This Includes Experience With Security Clearance Processes, Safeguarding Classified Information, And Conducting Security Education And Training.
Strong Communication Skills: Fsos Must Possess Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Government Agencies, Employees, And Other Stakeholders. This Includes The Ability To Write Reports, Conduct Briefings, And Provide Security Training.
Attention To Detail: As The Primary Security Point Of Contact For The Company, Fsos Must Have Exceptional Attention To Detail To Ensure All Security Procedures Are Followed Correctly. This Includes Maintaining Accurate Security Records, Conducting Security Audits, And Reviewing Procedures For Potential Security Vulnerabilities.
Security Clearance: Fsos Must Possess Or Be Able To Obtain And Maintain A Security Clearance, Typically At The Top Secret Level. This Clearance Is Necessary To Access And Safeguard Classified Information And Materials.
