
Facilities Engineer - Mechanical

- Design and develop mechanical systems for the company's facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Conduct thorough assessments of the current facilities and identify areas for improvement or optimization.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans for all mechanical systems to ensure their long-term functionality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other members of the engineering team to integrate mechanical systems into overall facility design.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering to continuously improve the company's facilities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and building codes in the design and maintenance of the facilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues that may arise in the facilities.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for equipment installation, repairs, and upgrades.
- Manage facility projects from conception to completion, including budget management and timeline adherence.
- Train and mentor junior engineers on best practices for mechanical system design and maintenance.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all mechanical system designs, maintenance plans, and project progress.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on facility projects and address any concerns or questions.
- Participate in company-wide initiatives to improve energy efficiency and sustainability in facility operations.
- Act as a subject matter expert for mechanical systems and provide guidance and recommendations to other departments as needed.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Facilities Engineering, Preferably Within The Aerospace Or Manufacturing Industry.
Proficiency In Cad Software And Experience With Building Design And Construction.
Knowledge Of Hvac, Plumbing, And Electrical Systems.
Strong Problem-Solving And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams.
