We are currently seeking a Facilities Engineer Co-Op to join our team for the Spring - Summer 2025 term. This is an onsite position that will provide hands-on experience in maintaining and improving our facilities. As a Co-Op in our Facilities Engineering department, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and gain valuable skills while contributing to the success of our company.   1. Conduct regular inspections of company facilities to identify areas for improvement and maintenance needs.
  2. Assist in the development and implementation of facility improvement projects.
  3. Collaborate with other departments to ensure facility needs are met and projects are completed on time and within budget.
  4. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, painting, and repairing minor damages.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve facility issues in a timely manner.
  6. Maintain accurate records of facility maintenance and repairs.
  7. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for facility repairs and projects.
  8. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all facility operations.
  9. Act as a liaison between facility management and other departments to address and resolve any facility-related concerns.
  10. Participate in team meetings and provide input on ways to improve facility operations.
  11. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in facility management to implement best practices.
  12. Take initiative to identify and propose cost-saving measures for facility operations.
  13. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Technical Background: A Facilities Engineer Co-Op Should Have A Strong Foundation In Engineering Principles And Possess Knowledge Of Facilities Design, Construction, And Maintenance. This Could Be Demonstrated Through Coursework In Civil, Mechanical, Or Electrical Engineering.

  • Experience With Facilities Operations: Prior Experience In Facilities Management Or Operations Would Be Beneficial For A Facilities Engineer Co-Op. This Could Include Internships, Co-Op Positions, Or Relevant Work Experience.

  • Proficiency In Relevant Software And Tools: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience With Computer-Aided Design (Cad) Software, As Well As Other Facilities Management Tools And Systems. Familiarity With Building Information Modeling (Bim) And Facility Management Software Would Also Be Beneficial.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Co-Op Position, The Facilities Engineer Will Be Working Closely With A Team Of Engineers, As Well As Other Departments And External Contractors. Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.

  • Attention To Detail And Problem-Solving Abilities: A Facilities Engineer Co-Op Should Possess Excellent Attention To Detail And Be Able To Identify And Resolve Complex Problems Related To Building Systems And Facilities. This Could Be Demonstrated Through Coursework Or Previous Work Experience.
