- Conduct thorough analyses and evaluations of system designs to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of certification processes and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on certification progress and address any concerns or issues.
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance throughout the certification process.
- Conduct certification tests and evaluations in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
- Identify and troubleshoot any certification-related issues and work towards timely resolutions.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input to improve system safety and reliability.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in certification processes and procedures.
- Provide technical support to other teams and departments as needed.
- Continuously seek out opportunities for process improvement and implementation of best practices.
Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Certification Engineering In The Aerospace Industry.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Faa And International Certification Regulations And Standards, Such As Rtca Do-178B/C, Do-254, And Arp4754.
Familiarity With Aircraft Systems And Avionics Equipment, Including Communication, Navigation, Surveillance, And Flight Control Systems.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Review And Interpret Technical Data And Documentation.
