As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all customs operations, ensuring smooth and efficient import and export processes, and maintaining strong relationships with government agencies. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in customs regulations, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.   1. Oversee and manage all customs operations to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy in import and export processes.
  3. Maintain knowledge of current customs laws and regulations and ensure compliance with changes and updates.
  4. Act as the main point of contact for all customs-related inquiries and issues.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, including Customs and Border Protection.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and timely customs clearance.
  7. Lead and develop a team of customs specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure department goals are met.
  8. Conduct audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  9. Provide regular reports and updates on customs operations to senior management.
  10. Monitor and track customs-related expenses and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
  11. Develop and maintain a network of customs brokers and other relevant partners.
  12. Stay informed about industry best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the customs department.
  13. Ensure all customs-related documentation is accurate and filed in a timely manner.
  14. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any potential customs violations or issues.
  15. Represent the company in customs-related meetings and conferences.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships With Internal And External Stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's Degree In International Business, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 7 Years Of Experience In Customs Compliance And Regulations, Preferably In The Aerospace Or Defense Industry.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of International Trade Laws And Regulations, Including Us Customs And Border Protection Regulations.
