- Oversee and manage all customs operations to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy in import and export processes.
- Maintain knowledge of current customs laws and regulations and ensure compliance with changes and updates.
- Act as the main point of contact for all customs-related inquiries and issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, including Customs and Border Protection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and timely customs clearance.
- Lead and develop a team of customs specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure department goals are met.
- Conduct audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Provide regular reports and updates on customs operations to senior management.
- Monitor and track customs-related expenses and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
- Develop and maintain a network of customs brokers and other relevant partners.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the customs department.
- Ensure all customs-related documentation is accurate and filed in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any potential customs violations or issues.
- Represent the company in customs-related meetings and conferences.
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships With Internal And External Stakeholders.
Bachelor's Degree In International Business, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.
At Least 7 Years Of Experience In Customs Compliance And Regulations, Preferably In The Aerospace Or Defense Industry.
In-Depth Knowledge Of International Trade Laws And Regulations, Including Us Customs And Border Protection Regulations.
