1. Dispense medications accurately and efficiently according to state and federal regulations.
2. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective use of medications for patients.
3. Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns regarding medications.
4. Maintain and update patient medication profiles and records to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
5. Monitor and review medication orders for potential drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
6. Educate patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
7. Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate and timely preparation of medications.
8. Participate in the ongoing training and development of other pharmacy staff.
9. Stay up-to-date on new medications, dosing regimens, and pharmaceutical guidelines.
10. Maintain and organize inventory of medications and supplies, including ordering and restocking as needed.
11. Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations related to pharmacy operations.
12. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to promote patient wellness and disease prevention.
13. Handle and resolve any customer complaints or issues related to medications or pharmacy services.
14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with HIPAA regulations.
15. Adhere to all safety standards and protocols to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
