
Pharmacy Technician & Technician Trainee

- Dispensing Medications: The primary responsibility of this role is to accurately and efficiently dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. This includes verifying prescriptions, measuring dosages, and labeling medication containers.
- Customer Service: As a pharmacy technician, you will be interacting with patients and their caregivers on a daily basis. It is important to provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
- Attention to Detail: Pharmacy technicians must have a strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of medication dispensed. This includes verifying patient information, dosages, and medication interactions.
- Teamwork: Pharmacy technicians must work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of medications. This requires strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Required For Both Pharmacy Technician And Technician Trainee Positions At Rite Aid.
State Certification Or License: Pharmacy Technicians Must Be Certified Or Licensed By The State In Which They Work, While Technician Trainees Must Be Enrolled In A State-Approved Training Program.
Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations: Both Positions Require A Strong Understanding Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Medication Dispensing, Inventory Management, And Insurance Processing.
Excellent Communication Skills: Pharmacy Technicians And Technician Trainees Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Customers, Healthcare Professionals, And Other Team Members.
Attention To Detail: These Roles Require Strong Attention To Detail To Ensure Accuracy In Medication Dispensing, Record-Keeping, And Other Important Tasks.
