1. Assist pharmacists in filling and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
2. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
3. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers at the pharmacy counter.
4. Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff member.
5. Process insurance claims and handle other administrative tasks as needed.
6. Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to pharmacy operations.
7. Learn and utilize pharmacy software systems to enter and retrieve patient and drug information.
8. Help to maintain inventory by monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed.
9. Educate patients about medication instructions, potential side effects, and other relevant information.
10. Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow and excellent patient care.
11. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe work environment.
12. Continuously expand knowledge of pharmacy products and services through training and development opportunities.
13. Complete all required training and certifications to maintain compliance with company and industry standards.
14. Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain patient privacy at all times.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager or pharmacist.
