  1. Dispensing Medications: The primary responsibility of a Pharmacy Technician at Rite Aid is to accurately dispense medications to customers based on prescriptions written by healthcare providers.
  2. Assisting Customers: Pharmacy Technicians will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with any questions or concerns they may have about their medications.
  3. Maintaining Inventory: Technicians will be responsible for managing and maintaining inventory levels of medications, ensuring that all necessary medications are in stock and properly stored.

  6. Labeling and Packaging: Pharmacy Technicians will be responsible for properly labeling and packaging medications for customers.
  7. Maintaining Cleanliness: Technicians will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including the pharmacy area and equipment.
  8. Assisting Pharmacists: Technicians may be required to assist pharmacists with tasks such as compounding medications, answering phone calls, and processing insurance claims.
  9. Adhering to Regulations: Pharmacy Technicians must adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding the handling and dispensing of medications.
  10. Training and Development: Technicians may be responsible for training and supervising Technician Trainees, ensuring they are properly trained and following all protocols.
  11. Quality Control: Pharmacy Technicians will be responsible for conducting quality control checks to ensure accuracy and safety in all aspects of the job.
  12. Record-Keeping: Technicians will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all transactions and interactions with customers.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Pharmacy Technician Or Technician Trainee At Rite Aid Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification: Rite Aid Prefers Candidates Who Are Certified As A Pharmacy Technician By The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Or National Healthcareer Association (Nha).

  • Strong Customer Service Skills: As A Pharmacy Technician Or Technician Trainee, Candidates Will Interact With Customers, So Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Necessary.

  • Knowledge Of Pharmaceuticals And Pharmacy Operations: Rite Aid Requires Candidates To Have A Basic Understanding Of Pharmaceuticals And Pharmacy Operations, As Well As The Ability To Learn And Follow Proper Procedures.

  • Attention To Detail And Accuracy: Pharmacy Technicians And Technician Trainees Must Have Excellent Attention To Detail To Ensure Accuracy In Filling Prescriptions And Handling Medications. This Includes Reading And Interpreting Prescription Orders, Measuring And Counting Medications, And Labeling Prescriptions Correctly.
