Pharmacy Technician & Technician Trainee

1. Assist pharmacists in accurately and efficiently filling prescriptions for patients.
2. Provide friendly and professional customer service to all patients and customers.
3. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with company and state regulations.
4. Accurately enter and maintain patient and prescription information in the pharmacy computer system.
5. Handle cash register transactions and process insurance claims.
6. Prepare medications and labels for dispensing.
7. Communicate with prescribers and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely prescription refills.
8. Educate patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and possible interactions.
9. Maintain inventory levels and order medication and supplies as needed.
10. Adhere to all safety and security procedures to protect patient health information and controlled substances.
11. Train and mentor new pharmacy technicians and technician trainees as needed.
12. Continuously update knowledge of pharmacy practices and regulations through ongoing education and training.
13. Embrace and promote Rite Aid's mission and values in all interactions with patients, customers, and team members.
14. Participate in pharmacy initiatives and programs to improve patient care and increase pharmacy efficiency.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager or pharmacist-in-charge.
