- Dispense medication accurately and efficiently to customers, following all appropriate protocols and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to the dispensing of medication.
- Review and interpret prescription orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy.
- Provide professional counseling and education to customers on the safe and effective use of prescribed medication.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for customers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prescriptions and patient information.
- Monitor inventory levels and order medications as needed to ensure adequate supply for customers.
- Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Stay up-to-date on new developments and advancements in the field of pharmacy and incorporate them into daily practice.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures and uphold the values and mission of Rite Aid.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols to protect the well-being of customers and staff.
- Continuously evaluate and improve pharmacy operations to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Act as a role model and mentor for other pharmacy staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Strong Customer Service Skills And Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients And Healthcare Professionals
A Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited University Or College
Active Licensure As A Pharmacist In The State Where The Rite Aid Store Is Located
Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Pharmacy Practice
Experience Working In A Retail Pharmacy Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of Prescription Processing And Insurance Billing
