  1. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Ensure the safe and effective use of medication by accurately dispensing prescriptions and providing appropriate counseling to customers.
  3. Maintain a thorough understanding of all medications and their uses, interactions, and side effects.
  4. Monitor and review medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy for customers.
  6. Follow all state and federal laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prescription orders and patient information.
  8. Assist in managing inventory and ordering medication supplies as needed.
  9. Provide guidance and support to other team members, including pharmacy technicians and interns.
  10. Stay current with developments and changes in the pharmacy industry and adapt practices accordingly.
  11. Demonstrate flexibility by working at different store locations as needed.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure the safety and well-being of customers and staff.
  13. Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  14. Continuously strive to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty by addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy: A Pharmacist (Float) At Rite Aid Must Possess At Least A Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy From An Accredited Institution. This Degree Provides A Strong Foundation In Pharmaceutical Sciences And Prepares Individuals For A Career In Pharmacy.

  • State Licensure: All Pharmacists (Float) At Rite Aid Must Have A Valid And Current State License To Practice Pharmacy. This License Ensures That The Individual Has Met The Necessary Qualifications And Requirements To Safely And Effectively Dispense Medications.

  • Experience In Community Pharmacy: Rite Aid Values Candidates With Previous Experience In A Community Pharmacy Setting. This Experience Demonstrates An Understanding Of Retail Pharmacy Operations And Customer Service Skills.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Pharmacist (Float), Effective Communication Is Essential In Interacting With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Team Members. This Includes Verbal And Written Communication, As Well As Active Listening Skills.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: A Pharmacist (Float) Must Be Able To Adapt To Changing Work Environments And Schedules. This Role Involves Regularly Traveling To Different Store Locations And Being Able To Quickly Adjust To New Workflows And Team Dynamics. Flexibility Is Key In Providing Quality Care To Patients In Various Settings.
