- Provide excellent customer service to all faculty, staff, and students seeking assistance from the HR department.
- Support the university's mission by ensuring all HR processes and procedures align with the values and goals of Rice University.
- Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process for new employees, including creating job postings, reviewing resumes, and conducting interviews.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, job details, and benefits.
- Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation sessions to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies and procedures, benefits, and other inquiries.
- Assist with performance management processes, including conducting employee evaluations and providing support for performance improvement plans.
- Collaborate with other HR team members to develop and implement programs and initiatives aimed at fostering a positive work culture.
- Conduct exit interviews and provide support for the offboarding process when employees leave the university.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant federal and state employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all HR processes.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR Manager.
- Continuously seek ways to improve and streamline HR processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Attend training and professional development opportunities to stay informed about best practices in HR and to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Represent the HR department and Rice University in a positive manner at all times.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or Related Field
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Hr Or Related Field
