  1. Oversee and manage various facilities projects on Rice University's campus.
  2. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  3. Ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  4. Maintain high standards of quality for all projects.
  5. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including university staff, contractors, and vendors.
  6. Lead project meetings and provide updates on project progress.
  7. Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may arise during the project.
  8. Conduct regular site visits to ensure project progress and quality.
  9. Collaborate with university departments to understand project needs and requirements.
  10. Hire and manage contractors and vendors to ensure project success.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors.
  12. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on project status and progress.
  13. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities to improve project management processes and procedures.
  15. Mentor and train junior project management staff.
  16. Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
  17. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the project team.
  18. Represent Rice University in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Construction Management, Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Project Management, Preferably In A Facilities Or Construction Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Building Codes, Regulations, And Safety Standards.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Various Stakeholders, Including University Administrators, Contractors, And Staff.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Multiple Projects Simultaneously, From Conception To Completion, Within Budget And On Schedule.
