  1. Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, managers, and other stakeholders to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  2. Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and practices.
  3. Investigate and resolve employee relations issues, including conflicts, harassment, and performance concerns, in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Advise and coach managers on how to handle difficult employee situations, providing guidance and support to ensure fair and consistent treatment of all employees.
  5. Conduct trainings and workshops on various HR topics, such as conflict resolution, diversity and inclusion, and performance management.
  6. Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement strategies and initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
  7. Stay up-to-date on federal and state employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all employee relations matters.
  8. Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends and provide recommendations for improving employee satisfaction and retention.
  9. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation related to employee relations issues.
  10. Participate in the recruitment and selection process for new employees, ensuring a fair and unbiased approach.
  11. Act as a liaison between employees and management, promoting open communication and addressing any concerns or issues.
  12. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the university's culture, values, and goals to effectively support and align with the organization's mission.
  13. Collaborate with other HR team members to continuously improve and enhance HR processes and procedures.
  14. Participate in departmental and university-wide committees and initiatives related to employee relations and diversity and inclusion.
  15. Represent the university in a professional and positive manner at all times, both internally and externally.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Employee Relations, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws, Regulations, And Policies Related To Employee Relations, Including Title Vii, Ada, And Fmla.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Handle Sensitive And Confidential Information.

  • Experience In Conflict Resolution, Mediation, And Conducting Investigations Into Employee Complaints.
