  1. Manage and preserve the university's digital collections in accordance with archival principles and industry best practices.
  2. Appraise and acquire digital materials, including photographs, videos, websites, and other digital assets, for inclusion in the university's archives.
  3. Create and maintain detailed descriptions of digital materials in the university's collections, ensuring accurate and consistent metadata.
  4. Provide access to digital materials through various platforms and systems, ensuring ease of use and adherence to copyright and privacy laws.
  5. Collaborate with university departments and stakeholders to identify and prioritize digital materials for preservation and access.
  6. Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in digital archiving, and make recommendations for implementing new tools and strategies.
  7. Develop and implement policies and procedures for the management, preservation, and access of digital materials.
  8. Train and educate university staff and students on proper digital archiving practices and procedures.
  9. Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues related to the preservation and access of digital materials.
  10. Participate in outreach and promotional activities to raise awareness of the university's digital collections and promote their use.
  11. Contribute to the university's mission of advancing knowledge and enriching the community through the preservation and accessibility of digital materials.
  12. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to digital archives, including accession records, inventories, and reports.
  13. Collaborate with other archivists and digital preservation experts within the university and beyond to share knowledge and best practices.
  14. Adhere to professional and ethical standards in all aspects of digital archiving, including copyright, privacy, and data security.
  15. Represent the university's digital archives at conferences, workshops, and other professional development opportunities.

Job Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree In Library And Information Science, Archival Studies, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working With Digital Collections And Archives In A Professional Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Archival Best Practices, Standards, And Technologies, Including Digital Preservation And Metadata Standards.

  • Experience With Archivesspace, Archivists' Toolkit, Or Other Archival Management Systems.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work With A Diverse Group Of Stakeholders, Including Faculty, Staff, And Students.
