
Associate Director of Creative Services

- Develop and implement creative strategies that align with the overall marketing and branding goals of Rice University.
- Collaborate with the Director of Creative Services to establish and maintain the visual identity and brand standards for the university.
- Lead and manage a team of creative professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship to ensure high-quality and innovative work.
- Work closely with various departments and stakeholders to understand their needs and develop creative solutions that effectively communicate their messages.
- Plan, budget, and oversee production of creative projects, including print and digital materials, advertisements, videos, and other visual assets.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices, and proactively make recommendations for improving the university's creative efforts.
- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all marketing and communication channels.
- Maintain relationships with external vendors and agencies, and negotiate contracts and pricing as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns.
- Monitor and report on the performance of creative projects, and use data to inform future strategies.
- Ensure all creative work meets deadlines and is delivered within budget.
- Stay updated on industry changes and advancements in design software and technology, and make recommendations for implementing new tools and techniques.
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation within the creative services team.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Graphic Design, Marketing, Or Communications.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Creative Services Role, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Creative Professionals.
Proven Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Successful Marketing And Branding Strategies.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Stakeholders Including Faculty, Staff, And Students.
