
Associate Athletic Director, External Relations

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with alumni, donors, and community partners to support the athletic department's fundraising efforts.
- Collaborate with various departments, including marketing and communications, to develop and implement strategies to promote and enhance the visibility of Rice University's athletic programs.
- Serve as a key representative of the athletic department, attending events and meetings to promote the university and build relationships with external stakeholders.
- Create and execute targeted outreach plans to engage potential donors and sponsors, as well as strengthen existing relationships.
- Work closely with coaches and student-athletes to identify and promote success stories and achievements within the athletic department.
- Provide guidance and support to coaches and staff in developing relationships and engaging with external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and pursue potential funding opportunities for the athletic department.
- Ensure alignment with the mission and values of Rice University while representing the athletic department in all external interactions.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in external relations and apply them to enhance the athletic department's strategies.
- Contribute to the overall success of the athletic department by actively participating in departmental meetings and initiatives.
Bachelor's Degree In Marketing, Communications, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In Athletic Administration, Preferably At The Collegiate Level.
Proven Track Record Of Successful Fundraising And Donor Relations.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Donors, Alumni, And Other Stakeholders.
Experience In Event Planning And Execution, As Well As Marketing And Promoting Athletic Events.
