- Follow established safety protocols and procedures while working on or near active tracks to ensure personal and public safety.
- Communicate effectively with team members and superiors to report any track issues or potential hazards.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment to perform track maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and track conditions.
- Monitor and report on the condition and wear of track components, including rails, ties, and ballast.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams within RTD to coordinate track maintenance and repairs.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Provide exceptional customer service to passengers and the community by ensuring a smooth and safe ride on the rail system.
- Keep up-to-date with industry standards and best practices for track maintenance and safety.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment, such as track tampers and ballast regulators, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to safety and workplace conduct.
- Attend regular meetings and participate in team discussions to identify and address any issues or concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote productivity and safety.
Experience In Railroad Track Maintenance: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Maintaining Railroad Tracks, Including Knowledge Of Track Inspection, Repair, And Replacement Methods.
Knowledge Of Safety Protocols: A Strong Understanding Of Safety Procedures And Regulations Related To Railroad Track Maintenance, Including The Ability To Identify Potential Hazards And Take Appropriate Measures To Prevent Accidents.
Familiarity With Track Equipment And Tools: Candidates Should Have Experience Working With A Variety Of Track Maintenance Equipment And Tools, Such As Track Tampers, Ballast Regulators, And Tie Replacement Machines.
