As the Service Planner, you will be responsible for developing and implementing service plans to ensure the smooth operation of our transit system.   1. Develop and implement service plans for the Regional Transportation District to ensure efficient and reliable transportation services for the community.
  2. Analyze data and trends to identify areas for service improvement and make recommendations for route changes or adjustments.
  3. Work closely with various departments within the organization to gather information and collaborate on service planning initiatives.
  4. Monitor service performance and make necessary adjustments to meet service goals and objectives.
  5. Conduct research and gather data on passenger needs and preferences to inform service planning decisions.
  6. Develop and maintain schedules for all transit services, including bus, light rail, and commuter rail.
  7. Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to ensure service plans are aligned with infrastructure improvements and construction projects.
  8. Develop and manage budgets for service planning initiatives and ensure cost-effective solutions.
  9. Communicate with stakeholders and the public to gather feedback and address concerns regarding service changes.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and trends in transportation planning to continuously improve service delivery.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Transportation Planning, Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Public Transit Planning Or Scheduling.

  • Proficiency In Using Transportation Planning Software And Tools, Such As Gis And Scheduling Software.

  • Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations And Policies Related To Public Transit Planning.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Stakeholders And Present Complex Information In A Clear And Concise Manner.
