  • Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure for the Regional Transportation District
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Optimize network performance and ensure high availability and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new network solutions to support business needs
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in network engineering
  • Analyze network data and provide recommendations for improvements and upgrades
  • Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and escalations
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior network engineers
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to manage network projects and contracts
  • Maintain and manage network equipment inventory and lifecycle
  • Continuously monitor and assess network performance and proactively identify and address potential issues
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates and escalate issues as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Network Engineering, Preferably In A Transportation Or Public Transit Environment.

  • Strong Knowledge And Experience With Network Protocols, Including Tcp/Ip, Mpls, And Bgp.

  • Experience With Network Security, Including Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention, And Access Control.

  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills And Ability To Troubleshoot Complex Network Issues In A Fast-Paced Environment.
