  1. Oversee the materials management process from procurement to distribution, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods and services.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  3. Monitor inventory levels and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  4. Implement and maintain inventory control systems to accurately track and manage inventory levels.
  5. Collaborate with various departments to forecast material needs and plan for future demand.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies related to materials management.
  7. Train and mentor junior materials management staff to ensure a high level of proficiency and quality in their work.
  8. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory data and identify any discrepancies.
  9. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for materials management processes and continuously look for ways to streamline and improve efficiency.
  10. Provide regular reports and analysis on materials management performance to upper management.
  11. Take ownership of any materials management issues and work towards timely resolution.
  12. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in materials management practices to continuously improve processes and stay competitive.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Materials Management, Preferably In The Transportation Industry.

  • Knowledge Of Procurement Processes And Procedures, Including Contract Management And Negotiations.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Make Sound Business Decisions Based On Data And Market Trends.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Build Relationships With Vendors And Suppliers.
