- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all vehicles in the body shop, including buses, vans, and other company vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary repairs.
- Follow safety protocols and proper procedures while working on vehicles.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Communicate with other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Order and maintain inventory of necessary parts and supplies for the body shop.
- Adhere to all company policies and regulations regarding vehicle maintenance and safety.
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times.
- Assist in training and mentoring new body shop technicians.
- Continuously strive to improve efficiency and effectiveness in completing tasks.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with colleagues and customers.
- Attend training and development programs to stay updated on industry advancements and new technology.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the body shop supervisor or manager.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Basic Educational Qualification Is Required For The Role Of A Body Shop Technician At Regional Transportation District (Rtd). This Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Communication And Numerical Skills To Perform The Job.
Technical Certification In Auto Body Repair: Rtd Requires Its Body Shop Technicians To Have A Technical Certification In Auto Body Repair. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform Body Repairs On Various Types Of Vehicles.
Previous Experience In Auto Body Repair: Rtd Prefers Candidates With Previous Experience In Auto Body Repair, Preferably In A Transit Or Transportation Setting. This Experience Helps The Candidate Understand The Specific Needs And Challenges Of Working On Transit Vehicles.
