Technical Design Manager

1. Lead and manage the technical design team to ensure the timely and accurate execution of design concepts.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, and sourcing to develop and implement technical design strategies.
3. Develop and maintain technical design standards and processes to ensure consistency and quality across all product categories.
4. Oversee the creation and maintenance of technical design specifications and tech packs for all products.
5. Conduct fit sessions and provide guidance and feedback to ensure proper fit and construction of garments.
6. Work closely with factories and suppliers to ensure designs are translated accurately into production samples.
7. Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continuously improve technical design processes and methods.
8. Train and mentor junior technical design team members to ensure their growth and development.
9. Manage timelines and priorities to ensure on-time delivery of technical design samples and approvals.
10. Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including designers, merchandisers, and production teams, to ensure alignment on technical design standards and objectives.
11. Monitor and track sample development to identify potential issues and proactively find solutions.
12. Conduct regular quality control checks on production samples to ensure they meet design and technical specifications.
13. Work with vendors to troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during production.
14. Collaborate with the sourcing team to identify new and innovative materials and techniques for improved product quality and cost efficiency.
15. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all technical design processes and approvals.
