1. Develop and execute sourcing strategy for women's and girl's categories in alignment with the overall company goals and objectives.
2. Identify potential suppliers and build strong relationships with them to ensure high-quality and cost-effective sourcing solutions.
3. Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and availability of materials and make recommendations for sourcing decisions.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, merchandising, and production to ensure alignment and timely execution of sourcing plans.
5. Manage the entire sourcing process from supplier selection to production, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with quality standards.
6. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and maintain profitability.
7. Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and work with suppliers to improve performance and address any issues that arise.
8. Stay updated on industry regulations, trade policies, and sourcing best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate any potential risks.
9. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on sourcing progress, challenges, and solutions.
10. Maintain accurate and organized records of sourcing activities, including supplier contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
11. Train and mentor junior sourcing team members to ensure their growth and development within the company.
12. Represent the company at industry events and conferences to network and stay informed on emerging trends and technologies in sourcing and production.
