
Wound Ostomy Registered Nurse

- Provide exceptional care to patients with complex wounds, ostomies, and continence issues.
- Utilize strong clinical background and critical thinking skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Maintain a compassionate and empathetic approach while interacting with patients and their families.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Monitor and document patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on proper wound care, ostomy management, and continence management.
- Stay current with advances in wound, ostomy, and continence care and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Demonstrate professionalism and strong communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following infection control and safety protocols.
- Serve as a resource for other nurses and healthcare team members regarding wound, ostomy, and continence care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices.
- Attend continuing education and training opportunities to maintain certification and enhance knowledge and skills.
- Uphold the mission, values, and standards of Providence St. Patrick Hospital in all aspects of job performance.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.
Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Montana.
Certification As A Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (Wocn) From A Recognized Accrediting Body (E.g. Wocncb).
Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience As A Wocn In An Acute Care Hospital Setting.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Wound Care, Ostomy Management, And Continence Care, Including Current Evidence-Based Practices And Treatment Modalities.
