In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Utilization Management department in ensuring the appropriate utilization of healthcare resources.   1. Assist the Utilization Management department in reviewing and managing the utilization of healthcare resources.
  2. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to utilization management.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to obtain necessary authorizations for patient care.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and authorizations.
  5. Communicate with patients and their families regarding the utilization management process and any necessary documentation.
  6. Monitor and track utilization management data and provide regular reports to the department.
  7. Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care and utilization management strategies.
  8. Provide administrative support to the Utilization Management department, including scheduling appointments and maintaining databases.
  9. Remain knowledgeable about current healthcare policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficient utilization of resources.
  10. Uphold the hospital's mission and values by providing compassionate care and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  11. Collaborate with other hospital departments to ensure smooth and efficient utilization management processes.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for streamlining processes and improving patient care.
  13. Assist in educating patients and their families on the utilization management process and any necessary documentation.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  15. Attend training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to utilization management.
