- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functioning and making adjustments as needed.
- Review patient medical history and communicate any relevant information to the healthcare team.
- Provide compassionate and high-quality patient care, ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures.
- Prepare and maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic results.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the quality of ultrasound images to ensure accurate diagnoses.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends and advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Assist in training and supervising new ultrasound technicians and students.

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and department efficiency.

Certification In Diagnostic Medical Sonography: Candidates For This Ultrasound Technician Position At Providence St. Patrick Hospital Should Possess A Certification In Diagnostic Medical Sonography From An Accredited Program.
Strong Knowledge Of Anatomy And Physiology: A Thorough Understanding Of Human Anatomy And Physiology Is Essential For Performing Accurate Ultrasound Scans. Candidates Should Have A Strong Foundation In These Areas.
