  1. Perform ultrasound procedures with accuracy and precision, following established protocols and safety measures.
  2. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality and reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs.
  3. Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  4. Position patients appropriately and adjust equipment settings to obtain optimal images.
  5. Evaluate images for quality and completeness, and collaborate with radiologists or other medical professionals as needed for further assessment.
  6. Maintain patient records and documentation accurately and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, taking necessary precautions to protect patients and staff.
  8. Continuously pursue professional development and stay up-to-date with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
  9. Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients, providing a comfortable and reassuring environment during procedures.

  • Completion Of An Accredited Ultrasound Technician Program: Candidates Must Have Completed A Formal Training Program In Ultrasound Technology From An Accredited Institution.

  • Ardms Certification: The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms) Certification Is Required For All Ultrasound Technicians At Providence St. Patrick Hospital. This Certification Ensures That The Technician Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform High-Quality Ultrasounds.

  • Experience In A Hospital Setting: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting, As This Will Familiarize Them With The Hospital's Protocols And Procedures.

  • Proficiency In Various Ultrasound Techniques: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Skilled In A Variety Of Ultrasound Techniques Including Abdominal, Obstetrics, Gynecology, And Vascular Ultrasound.
