Job Description

We at Providence St. Patrick Hospital are looking for a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as Supervisor Clinical Informatics. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Supervisor Clinical Informatics is responsible for leveraging the expertise of clinical informatics staff to ensure the successful planning, implementation and support of clinical information systems.The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background with an understanding of relevant accreditation standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, high-level problem-solving skills, and an ability to foster positive relationships with clinicians, staff and vendors. Responsibilities:

  1. Leverage the expertise of clinical informatics staff to ensure successful planning, implementation and support of clinical information systems.
  2. Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge concerning accreditation standards and regulations.
  3. Foster positive relationships with clinicians, staff and vendors.
  4. Lead initiatives to achieve a high level of patient care through the use of technology.
  5. Monitor the effectiveness of clinical information systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with current regulations.
  6. Prepare reports and presentations to executive leadership outlining the progress of clinical informatics projects.
  7. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to clinical informatics.
  8. Assist with budgeting and forecasting for clinical informatics projects.
  9. Manage the recruitment, supervision, and development of clinical informatics staff.
  10. Ensure clinical informatics staff receive appropriate training and guidance.
