
Sterile Processing Technician
Providence St. Patrick Hospital is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and is committed to ensuring a clean, sterile environment in the hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and storage of medical instruments and supplies.To be considered for this position, qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience in a sterile processing or inventory management role. Additionally, the ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of sterile processing techniques, aseptic techniques, and inventory control systems is preferred. The successful candidate must also be able to follow department policies and procedures and demonstrate sound judgment when making decisions. Responsibilities:
- Ensure a clean and sterile environment throughout the hospital.
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, and store medical instruments and supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of sterile processing supplies.
- Follow all department policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate sound judgement when making decisions.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism with all patients, healthcare staff, and visitors.
- Monitor and maintain quality assurance standards for all instruments and supplies.
- Perform daily inspections of equipment and supplies to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure sterile instruments and supplies are delivered to the appropriate areas in a timely manner.
- Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with safety regulations and policies.
