Responsibilities of the Senior Sterile Processing Technician:

1. Decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize medical equipment and supplies in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.
2. Maintain accurate logs and records of all sterilized equipment and supplies.
3. Ensure all sterilized equipment and supplies are stored in a clean and organized manner.
4. Monitor, inspect, and maintain sterilization equipment and supplies, as necessary.
5. Provide excellent customer service to all hospital staff and patients.
6. Follow all safety protocols and OSHA standards for handling and sterilizing medical equipment and supplies.
7. Assist in the training of new staff members in the decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of medical equipment and supplies.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of medical equipment and supplies.
9. Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all interactions with patients, staff, and other hospital personnel.
10. Comply with all hospital policies and procedures.
