Job Description

At Providence St. Patrick Hospital, we are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Senior Clinical Informatics Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leveraging technology to improve patient care and will be able to effectively collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and optimization of clinical information systems.The Senior Clinical Informatics Specialist will be responsible for providing leadership and direction in the implementation of clinical information systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, and driving innovation in healthcare IT. The successful candidate must demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency in clinical informatics, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in information technology, healthcare, or a related field, a minimum of three years of experience in the clinical informatics field, and current certification in a relevant informatics specialty area. In addition, experience in project management, clinical information system design and implementation, and healthcare IT standards and regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide leadership and direction in the implementation, integration, and optimization of clinical information systems.
  2. Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare IT standards and regulations.
  3. Drive innovation in healthcare IT by developing and deploying solutions to improve patient care.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and optimization of clinical informatics systems.
  5. Collaborate with clinical and administrative stakeholders to design and implement clinical information systems.
  6. Identify and troubleshoot any technical issues related to clinical information systems.
  7. Identify and evaluate new technologies and systems to improve clinical informatics.
  8. Provide ongoing training and support for users of clinical informatics systems.
  9. Develop and maintain documentation of clinical informatics systems.
