1. Perform advanced cardiovascular procedures in the Cath Lab, including but not limited to: cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and electrophysiology studies.
2. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during procedures, providing reassurance and support as needed.
3. Utilize advanced knowledge and skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during procedures.
4. Lead and collaborate with a team of technologists to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
5. Train and mentor less experienced technologists on advanced procedures and best practices.
6. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of procedures, patient information, and equipment usage.
7. Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards at all times.
8. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for patients.
9. Continuously monitor and assess patient responses during procedures, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
10. Maintain and troubleshoot equipment and supplies to ensure they are functioning properly and adequately stocked.
11. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and best practices in cardiovascular technology through continuing education and professional development.
12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols.
13. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a positive and collaborative work environment.
