Job Description

At Providence St. Patrick Hospital, we are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Research Scientist to join our research team. We are looking for a driven individual with a passion for research to help us further our mission of providing quality healthcare to our patients and community.The successful candidate will possess a PhD in a relevant field (e.g. molecular biology, biochemistry, or immunology) and have at least two years of relevant research experience. We seek a creative and detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working independently and collaboratively. Our ideal Research Scientist will have excellent problem-solving and communication skills and be able to think outside the box.The Research Scientist will be responsible for designing and executing experiments, analyzing data, and disseminating research findings to a variety of audiences. As a member of the research team, he/she will help create innovative solutions to complex problems and strive to improve the patient experience. Responsibilities:

  1. Design and execute experiments using molecular biology, biochemistry, and immunology techniques.
  2. Analyze data and interpret research findings.
  3. Collaborate with other members of the research team to create innovative solutions to complex problems.
  4. Present research findings to a variety of audiences.
  5. Implement strategies to improve the patient experience.
  6. Manage and maintain laboratory equipment.
  7. Develop and implement protocols for research projects.
  8. Keep abreast of current research and developments in relevant fields.
  9. Submit research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
  10. Contribute to grant applications and proposals.
