  1. Provide high-quality care to patients with kidney disease through the administration and monitoring of renal dialysis treatments.
  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  3. Monitor and assess patient response to dialysis treatments, including vital signs, lab results, and overall well-being.
  4. Educate patients and their families on kidney disease, dialysis treatments, and self-care techniques.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician, and document all care provided accurately and timely.
  6. Ensure proper functioning of dialysis equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  7. Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to provide comprehensive and compassionate care.
  9. Stay updated on current trends and best practices in renal dialysis nursing through ongoing education and training.
  10. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure patient safety and quality of care.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn License: To Be Considered For A Registered Nurse - Renal Dialysis Position At Providence St. Patrick Hospital, Candidates Must Hold A Valid And Active Rn License In The State Of Montana.

  • Bls Certification: Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification Is Required For All Rn Positions At Providence St. Patrick Hospital, Including Those In The Renal Dialysis Department. This Certification Must Be Obtained Through The American Heart Association.

  • Experience In Renal Dialysis: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Renal Dialysis Unit. This Experience Should Include Proficiency In Administering Dialysis Treatments, Monitoring Patients, And Responding To Any Complications.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Bachelor's Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Is Preferred For The Registered Nurse - Renal Dialysis Position. However, Candidates With An Associate's Degree In Nursing (Adn) May Also Be Considered If They Have Extensive Experience In Renal Dialysis.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: Working In Renal Dialysis Requires Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Educate And Support Patients And Their Families. Additionally, Rns In This Role Must Be Able To Think Critically And Make Quick Decisions In Emergency Situations.
