
Professional Development Specialist RN
Providence St. Patrick Hospital is seeking an experienced and qualified Professional Development Specialist Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As a Professional Development Specialist RN, you will be responsible for creating and providing educational programs to maintain and advance the level of competency of our nurses. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the healthcare field, be highly organized and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field and have at least 3 years of experience in nursing education, nursing staff development, clinical or educational instruction. In addition, a Master's degree in nursing or a related field is preferred.We are looking for a motivated individual with an enthusiasm for teaching and a commitment to providing quality patient care. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the competency of nurses at Providence St. Patrick Hospital.
- Evaluate and measure the success of educational programs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of educational programs and their outcomes.
- Consult with nursing staff to identify learning needs and develop appropriate educational strategies.
- Provide guidance and direction to nursing staff on current best practices in nursing care.
- Develop and present lectures, seminars, and workshops on topics related to nursing education.
- Mentor and coach new and existing nurses on best practices and advanced techniques in nursing care.
- Remain current on industry trends and advancements in nursing care.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration between the nursing staff and other departments.
- Assist in the recruitment and orientation of new nursing staff.
