Professional Development Specialist RN

Providence St. Patrick Hospital is seeking an experienced and qualified Professional Development Specialist Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As a Professional Development Specialist RN, you will be responsible for creating and providing educational programs to maintain and advance the level of competency of our nurses. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the healthcare field, be highly organized and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field and have at least 3 years of experience in nursing education, nursing staff development, clinical or educational instruction. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the competency of nurses at Providence St. Patrick Hospital.
2. Evaluate and measure the success of educational programs.
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of educational programs and their outcomes.
4. Consult with nursing staff to identify learning needs and develop appropriate educational strategies.
5. Provide guidance and direction to nursing staff on current best practices in nursing care.
6. Develop and present lectures, seminars, and workshops on topics related to nursing education.
7. Mentor and coach new and existing nurses on best practices and advanced techniques in nursing care.
8. Remain current on industry trends and advancements in nursing care.
9. Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration between the nursing staff and other departments.
10. Assist in the recruitment and orientation of new nursing staff.
