Job Description

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Procedural Scheduler at our Pediatric Surgery Clinic at Providence St. Patrick Hospital. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient scheduling of procedures for our young patients, making a positive impact on their health and well-being.   1. Schedule and coordinate medical procedures for pediatric patients in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and scheduling information.
  3. Communicate with patients, caregivers, and medical staff to ensure understanding and compliance with scheduling procedures.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and prioritize procedure schedules.
  5. Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and procedures to accurately schedule appointments and procedures.
  6. Monitor and manage scheduling conflicts and make necessary adjustments to ensure all procedures are completed as planned.
  7. Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures.
  8. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  9. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines when handling patient information.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve scheduling processes to increase efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  11. Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining office supplies.
  12. Collaborate with billing department to ensure proper coding and billing for procedures.
  13. Attend meetings and trainings to stay updated on medical procedures and scheduling processes.
  14. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all safety protocols and procedures.
  15. Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards pediatric patients and their families, providing a positive and supportive experience.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Scheduling For A Pediatric Surgery Clinic.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures Related To Pediatric Surgery.

  • Excellent Organizational And Time-Management Skills.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Collaborate With Physicians, Staff, And Patients.
