  1. Develop and implement informatics strategies to improve patient care and outcomes.
  2. Utilize clinical expertise to analyze and optimize clinical systems and workflows.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify and address technology needs and gaps in patient care.
  4. Train and educate staff on the use of clinical informatics systems and technology.
  5. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure data accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  6. Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and IT department to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in clinical informatics, and make recommendations for implementation as appropriate.
  8. Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives related to clinical informatics.
  9. Communicate with leadership to provide updates on informatics projects and initiatives.
  10. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement in regards to clinical informatics.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive patient information.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient safety and data privacy.
  13. Act as a resource for clinical staff regarding the use and integration of technology in patient care.
  14. Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure smooth integration and implementation of informatics systems.
  15. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and committees to represent the informatics perspective.
  16. Provide support and guidance to other clinical informatics specialists and staff as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Rn Licensure: A Valid And Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License Is Required To Qualify For The Role Of Principal Clinical Informatics Specialist At Providence St. Patrick Hospital. This License Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Clinical Practice And Can Effectively Communicate With Healthcare Professionals.

  • Clinical Informatics Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience Working In The Field Of Clinical Informatics. This Experience Should Include Working With Electronic Health Records, Data Analysis, And Implementing Clinical Informatics Projects.

  • Leadership Skills: As A Principal Clinical Informatics Specialist, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing A Team Of Informatics Specialists. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills Are Essential, Including The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Provide Guidance, And Foster A Collaborative Team Environment.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations: A Thorough Understanding Of Healthcare Regulations, Such As Hipaa And Meaningful Use, Is Critical For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Able To Ensure That All Clinical Informatics Projects And Processes Comply With These Regulations.
